Baking malt, original, Lithuanian is a type of rye malt obtained from sprouted and ground rye grain, as a result of the malting process. It is often called Lithuanian because, alongside cumin, honey and garlic, it is the basic ingredient of traditional local bread. It gives baked goods a characteristic taste and smell. Used in bread production, it makes the crust crispy and aromatic, and the crumb delicate and soft. Additionally, thanks to the use of this type of malt, the baked goods gain a noble brown color, the same as when using whole rye grain.
INGREDIENTS: natural rye malt, fermented, ground. The product contains gluten from cereals, may contain traces of soy and sesame.
