Danisco Xylitol is a type of birch sugar. It has a sweet taste, although it provides much less calories than classic sugar (sucrose). It is not obtained from sugar cane or sugar beets, but from the trunk of a birch tree. It does not cause caries and is recommended for diabetics. Xylitol is a natural food additive with the appearance and taste of ordinary white sugar. Use it like regular sugar. Naturally Healthy Xylitol is NOT made from corn.
