Original Japanese green tea, produced in the city of Uji in the Kyoto prefecture. The leaves used to produce Uji matcha come exclusively from high-quality Tencha tea, cultivated according to strictly defined rules. Tea bushes grow in complete shade, which reduces sunlight and triggers intensive chlorophyll production in the plants. As a result, the tea contains more minerals and substances, such as L-theanine, which supports relaxation. Additionally, cultivation in the shade gives matcha a sweeter, unique taste.
To prepare the perfect cup of our matcha, use 2g (approx. one teaspoon) of tea per 100 ml of water or plant drink (approx. half a cup). The water should be at a temperature of 60-65 degrees Celsius. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth, slightly frothy. A traditional bamboo matcha whisk - chasen or a hand-held milk frother works best here.
It is not only perfect for traditional brewing, but also works well in a variety of culinary recipes. You can use it to prepare matcha latte by adding it to milk or a plant-based drink, creating a delicious and healthy drink. On hot days, try it completely "cold" by adding a cold plant-based drink and ice cubes. Matcha also goes great with ice cream, baked goods and desserts, giving them a unique, green color and delicate flavor.
